Rear additions, covered outdoor dining, swimming pool & attached shed
The brief was for a light, bright & spacious house for their growing family, keeping the footprint of the 'orginal' house & established gardens along the front (north) and side of the house. The site has views to the Illawarra Escarpment for the north.
The existing floor plan was re-worked to make use of every bit of space, with a new larger bathroom & laundry, study nook & separate tv room. The new section at the rear has a spacious kitchen, living (with fireplace), dining & new master bedroom, ensuite. A new covered outdoor dining area and pool area connect to the front garden yard (north facing). In the western side yard is a new shed & drycourt.
Site Constraints: Bushfire Prone land - Bal 19
Authority Approvals: Development Application from Wollongong City Council
