Hello, my name is Laura Southworth, I hold a Bachelor of Science (Architecture) from The University of Sydney & a BacheIor of Architecture from the University of Technology. After working in small architectural firms in Sydney specializing in residential projects, I launched my own studio in 2010, becoming a sole practitioner and achieving Architectural Registration in 2020 -Registration Number 11364.

 

As a sole practitioner, I am dedicated to providing a personalized service, keeping my project load manageable to ensure attention to detail and commitment to the client. I believe every project tells a unique story, and I take pride in each client's individual needs and style.

With over 20 years of experience, I adopt a collaborative approach to bring clients' visions to life. I have a strong background in designing homes for families, understanding the importance of creating functional spaces. My expertise includes new builds, alterations, residential swimming pools, secondary dwellings, detached studios, and commercial renovations. I prioritize site-specific design, considering each site’s unique characteristics and challenges, including work in bushfire-prone areas and flood zones. I collaborate with experienced consultants to provide necessary reports for authority approvals and have significant experience liaising with councils and private certifiers.​
